What Makes a Good Cocktail Wine?

A good flavor profile for a cocktail wine should be rich and complex with notes of fruit, spice, and wood. Colors should be bright and crisp, with a light body that allows it to be mixed easily with other ingredients. Aromas can range from fruity to dry, with hints of citrus or herbaceousness. Finally, cocktails require a versatile wine that can be used in many different types of drinks – making it important that the wine has balanced flavor and acidity.

When it comes to cocktails, red wine is always a popular choice. But what’s the best type of combination red wine? We took a taste test to find out.

We started with a classic martini: gin and red vermouth. The Vermouth Noble was our chosen brand, and it was delicious. Both the gin and vermouth were balanced and flavorful, but we preferred the vermouth in this drink.

Next up was a Negroni: gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari. This drink was also good, but we preferred the flavor of the Campari more in this mix. It added a nice bitterness that meshed well with both the gin and sweet vermouth.

For our next cocktail we chose a variation on an old favorite: the mule. This time we used vodka instead of bourbon as our spirit, and we added ginger beer to give it some additional refreshment. Again, both the vodka and ginger beer were great choices for this drink – they each had their own unique flavor profiles that complemented each other well.
